Orange Tea (Bitter Orange)

Taste, origin and use

Bitter orange from Ecuador brings real fruit rather than added flavouring. Harvested while green and orange, it makes custom blends visually distinctive, aromatic and easy to explain to customers.

The oranges grow in Kichwa permaculture forest gardens in Ecuador's Amazon region. Ideally, the fruit is harvested at a green-orange stage of ripeness. As a standalone infusion or blending ingredient, the product suits both classic and modern tea concepts. The recognisable fruit component offers a convincing alternative to flavoured citrus blends.

Fruity and naturally sweet with the characteristic accent of bitter orange. The aroma remains clearly recognisable as a real citrus ingredient. Brew on its own with hot water or add it as a citrus component to leaf, herbal and fruit blends to the desired intensity. Use it alone or as the citrus element of a house blend and display it in an open sample bowl.
