Taste, origin and use

PURE presents Guayusa in its clearest form: fresh, green and approachable in flavour. It lets you introduce a tea category still relatively new in Germany through the original product itself.

The first GUYA variety is an easy starting point for customers who are not yet familiar with Guayusa. The leaves are dried promptly after harvesting to preserve their green colour and fresh character. Since its founding, GUYA has sourced the tea directly from farmers it knows personally in Ecuador and can tell a traceable story of its origin. Unlike mate or green tea, the infusion stays mild and develops very little bitterness.

Grassy and earthy, slightly fruity and surprisingly mild. PURE is the straightforward reference variety that helps explain the flavoured blends and DARK. Simply pour boiling water over the leaves. Adjust the quantity and brewing time during tasting to achieve the desired intensity. Serve it plain for a first tasting or combine it with orange, ginger, lemongrass, Ishpingo or hibiscus.
